ASTM A193 Grade B7 Continuous Threaded Rods

The ASTM A193 Grade B7 Continuous Threaded Rod is the fundamental high-strength fastener used in flanged pipeline joints across critical industries. Essentially a stud bolt without bolt points or chamfers, it is a continuous threaded rod manufactured from Alloy Steel (Chromium-Molybdenum steel), which is quenched and tempered to achieve high tensile and creep rupture strength. This makes it suitable for service temperatures up to 450°C (842°F). These threaded rods are cut to length and typically supplied with two ASTM A194 Grade 2H Heavy Hex Nuts to complete the bolted joint. The precise thread fit and high material strength are vital for achieving the high pre-load necessary to maintain a leak-proof seal in high-pressure piping systems. Zeron Fasteners manufactures B7 threaded rods (studs) to meet all required lengths, often with protective coatings like hot-dip galvanizing or PTFE.
