Wafer and Lug Type Butterfly Valves are compact quarter-turn rotary valves widely specified for liquid, gas, and slurry flow isolation and throttling. In a Wafer Type Butterfly Valve, the valve body is clamped between opposing pipe flanges using long stud bolts, providing a lightweight, economical solution. In contrast, a Lugged (Lug Type) Butterfly Valve features threaded bolt lugs around its perimeter, allowing individual bolting to each flange and enabling dead-end pipeline isolation without downstream pressure loss.
Zeron Fastners manufactures precision-engineered Wafer and Lug Butterfly Valves in Ductile Iron, Cast Steel (WCB), and Stainless Steel (CF8/CF8M/CF3M). Featuring replaceable or bonded resilient elastomeric liners (EPDM, NBR, Viton, PTFE) and streamlined discs that minimize head loss and turbulence across cooling water loops, HVAC systems, municipal water distribution, and chemical plants.
