Nickel Superalloy Coating
Nickel Superalloy Coating refers to specialized protective layers applied to components, typically manufactured from nickel-chromium-aluminum (NiCrAl or NiCrAlY) based superalloys. These coatings are essential for extending the life of parts operating in high-temperature, highly corrosive, or abrasive environments, such as gas turbine blades and jet engine components. They function by forming a dense, adherent, protective oxide layer (alumina or chromia), providing outstanding resistance to oxidation, hot corrosion, and sulfidation at temperatures up to 1200°C. In Thermal Barrier Coating (TBC) systems, nickel superalloy coatings serve as the vital bond coat between the metallic substrate and the insulating ceramic top layer. Zeron Fastners supplies materials and finished components with high-integrity nickel superalloy coatings.
