Slip-On Flanges

Slip-On Flanges (SOF) are pipe flanges easily recognized by their slightly larger inner diameter than the pipe, allowing them to easily slide onto the pipe before welding. The connection is secured by welding both the outside and inside of the flange, providing adequate strength for many non-critical applications. Slip-On Flanges are a cost-effective alternative to Weld Neck Flanges and are favored when quick, easy alignment is necessary. They are typically used in piping systems involving low-to-moderate pressure and are available in a variety of materials including Carbon Steel (ASTM A105), and high-corrosion-resistant grades like Stainless Steel (SS 304/316). Zeron Fastners supplies Slip-On Flanges conforming to ASME B16.5 and other international standards.
