Socket Weld Flanges with RTJ Groove

Socket Weld Flanges (SWF) with a Ring Type Joint (RTJ) Groove are specialized high-integrity flanges primarily used for small bore piping (NPS 4 and smaller) in high-pressure and high-temperature service environments. The flange features an internal socket for inserting the pipe (secured by a fillet weld) and a precise RTJ groove on the sealing face. The RTJ groove is designed to accept a corresponding metallic ring gasket, which is deformed by the bolting force to create a secure, metal-to-metal seal that is far more reliable than standard flat gaskets in severe conditions. Zeron Fastners manufactures these flanges in various materials, including Carbon Steel (A105), Stainless Steel (304/316), and Alloy Steels, all conforming to ASME B16.5 for critical applications in petrochemical, oil and gas, and power generation industries.
