SS 347 Pipe Fittings are critical components used to change the direction, branch off, or change the size of piping systems. These fittings, which are primarily manufactured through forging and subsequent machining, include elbows, tees, reducers, and flanges. The SS 347 material is a premium austenitic stainless steel stabilized with **Niobium (Columbium)**. This stabilization is essential as it prevents **intergranular corrosion** when the fittings are exposed to high temperatures, particularly after welding into the piping network.
