The ASTM A194 Grade 2H Heavy Hex Nut is the industry standard nut for high-pressure, high-temperature service. Manufactured from medium-carbon steel and subjected to quenching and tempering heat treatment, these nuts achieve a minimum proof load stress that is critical for holding tension in highly stressed flange joints.
