ASTM A182 F304 Stainless Steel Lap Joint Flanges

ASTM A182 F304 Lap Joint Flanges are specialized forged fittings designed for use in conjunction with a stub end. The stub end is butt-welded to the pipe, and the Lap Joint Flange slips over the pipe and seats against the back of the stub end. Crucially, the flange itself is not welded to the pipe and is free to rotate around the stub end. This feature makes alignment of the bolt holes extremely easy, significantly reducing installation time in complex piping layouts. The material, austenitic stainless steel (AISI 304) corresponding to the F304 grade, provides excellent corrosion resistance. This makes the combination of the F304 flange and the B8 bolting ideal for systems that require frequent maintenance, inspection, or where rapid assembly is needed, such as in food processing or sanitary systems.
