Incoloy 825 Lap Joint Flanges
Incoloy 825 Lap Joint Flanges are unique pipe fittings manufactured by Zeron Fastners, distinguished
by their two-piece assembly: a free-spinning flange ring and a corresponding Stub End (the sealing
surface). The material, Incoloy 825 (UNS N08825), is a high-performance nickel-iron-chromium alloy
with additions of molybdenum, copper, and titanium. This composition provides exceptional resistance
to a wide range of corrosive attacks, particularly immunity to stress-corrosion cracking in
chloride-bearing environments and superior defense against reducing acids like sulfuric and
phosphoric acid. The key advantage is that the flange ring is free to rotate on the pipe, which
greatly simplifies the alignment of bolt holes during assembly, making them ideal for systems that
require frequent dismantling for inspection or maintenance, such as process piping in chemical and
fertilizer plants.
