SS 304L Nuts

The SS 304L Nut is the low-carbon counterpart to the standard SS 304 nut, typically conforming to ASTM A194 Grade 8L. Its primary characteristic is the extra-low carbon (L) content (max 0.03%), which is essential when securing 304L or 304 bolts/studs near welded joints or in services involving high temperatures. This low-carbon feature dramatically reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion (weld decay) by preventing chromium carbide precipitation. While having slightly lower mechanical strength compared to the standard 304 (A2-70), the 304L nut maintains excellent general corrosion resistance and is the material of choice in assemblies where welding has occurred. Zeron Fasteners manufactures and supplies a comprehensive range of high-quality SS 304L nuts, including heavy hex and standard hex configurations, ensuring precise threading and compliance for use in critical industrial flange connections.
