Duplex and Super Duplex UNS S32760 Slip-On Flanges
The Duplex and Super Duplex UNS S32760 Slip-On Flange (SOF) is a popular forging component characterized by a bore slightly larger than the pipe's outer diameter, allowing it to easily slip over the pipe. This design simplifies alignment and welding, as the flange is secured to the pipe with two fillet welds (one inside and one outside). While easier to install and often less expensive than Weld Neck Flanges, Slip-On Flanges are generally limited to lower pressure and temperature services. Manufactured from the elite Super Duplex UNS S32760 alloy (also known as F55 or Zeron 100), these flanges benefit from the material's high mechanical strength and outstanding resistance to corrosion, particularly pitting and stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in chloride environments.
